STEAK AND BROCCOLI STIR FRY

1.5 lbs (680 grams) sirloin steak, thinly sliced
6 cups (546 grams) broccoli
3 tbsp (44.37 grams) low-sodium soy sauce
1.5 tbsp (23.5 grams) hoisin sauce
1.5 tbsp (22 grams) rice vinegar
1.5 tsp (7.40 grams) sesame oil
1 tbsp (12 grams) minced garlic
1 tbsp (14 grams) avocado oil
1.5 tsp (6.75 grams) cornstarch (optional, for extra thickness)
Sprinkle of carrots (optional)
Green onions, sliced, for garnishSesame seeds, for garnish
In a bowl, combine soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and ginger paste. Add sliced steak and marinate for 15-20 minutes.
Heat avocado oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add marinated steak to the pan and stir-fry until browned and cooked to your liking. Remove the steak from the pan and set aside.
In the same pan, add broccoli florets and stir-fry until they are tender-crisp.
If you want a thicker sauce, mix cornstarch with a little water and add it to the pan, stirring until the sauce thickens.
Return the cooked steak to the pan with the broccoli.
Drizzle sesame oil over the mixture and toss until well-coated.
Divide into 4 equal portions
Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving
